Director of Palliative Care
Overview
Oversee the clinical, operational, and administrative aspects of the palliative care program, ensuring high-quality care delivery Indiana a compassionate, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities
- Physician Leadership:
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on system-wide palliative care model improvements.
- Recruit palliative care certified faculty for hospital and system-wide programs.
- Support and mentor palliative care medical staff.
- Guide regional medical directors on performance expectations and supervision.
- Clinical Quality and Operations:
- Develop palliative care unit models with regional directors.
- Collaborate on coverage models to meet clinical and administrative needs.
- Ensure clinical care compliance with system, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
- Develop quality metrics dashboards for hospitals/system-wide palliative care.
- Education, Information, and Communication:
- Supervise trainees and allied health professionals.
- Ensure clinical competency for new faculty.
- Develop and maintain educational programs for residents, fellows, and hospitalists.
- Oversee palliative care fellowship program.
Qualifications
- Board-certified Oregon board-eligible Physician
- Active Ohio Medical License
- Excellent clinical and teaching skills
- Ability to enrich the inter-collaborative culture of the Division
- Welcome to experienced and new geriatric-trained physicians
