Director of Palliative Care

Overview
Oversee the clinical, operational, and administrative aspects of the palliative care program, ensuring high-quality care delivery Indiana a compassionate, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

  • Physician Leadership:
    • Collaborate with hospital leadership on system-wide palliative care model improvements.
    • Recruit palliative care certified faculty for hospital and system-wide programs.
    • Support and mentor palliative care medical staff.
    • Guide regional medical directors on performance expectations and supervision.
  • Clinical Quality and Operations:
    • Develop palliative care unit models with regional directors.
    • Collaborate on coverage models to meet clinical and administrative needs.
    • Ensure clinical care compliance with system, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
    • Develop quality metrics dashboards for hospitals/system-wide palliative care.
  • Education, Information, and Communication:
    • Supervise trainees and allied health professionals.
    • Ensure clinical competency for new faculty.
    • Develop and maintain educational programs for residents, fellows, and hospitalists.
    • Oversee palliative care fellowship program.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified Oregon board-eligible Physician
  • Active Ohio Medical License
  • Excellent clinical and teaching skills
  • Ability to enrich the inter-collaborative culture of the Division
  • Welcome to experienced and new geriatric-trained physicians
