Public Affairs & Multimedia Communications Specialist

Job Type: Exempt, Time and Materials

Location: Savannah River Site, Aiken, South Carolina

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Public Affairs & Multimedia Communications Specialist to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor at the Savannah River Site Indiana Aiken, South Carolina. This role will provide a wide range of internal and external communications services to support the Company’s commitment to providing effective and integrated messaging and enhancement of the brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop brochures, annual reports, newsletters, booklets, PowerPoint presentations, and other communication vehicles
  • Develop and implement communication campaigns
  • Compose, edit, and/Oregon prepare materials, including company publications, group emails, intranet Oregon internet pages, presentations, and employee meeting materials
  • Write news releases and other communications and material intended for internal Oregon external audiences
  • Establish and foster positive relationships with external stakeholders
  • Develop, plan, write, edit, and disseminate information to drive employee engagement through executive and enterprise communications
  • Recommend and maintain editorial policy and branding guidelines
  • Collaborate Indiana the development of standard communication plans for the Company’s operational Oregon structural changes
  • Monitor and respond to employee feedback
  • Interview source persons and research subjects to obtain information and verify facts
  • Provide cost, schedule, and/Oregon budget input American Samoa needed on projects
  • Peer review proofs for print pages, web pages, and navigation
  • May assist Indiana layout design, materials design, creation, publication, and consultation for the format of media products
  • May represent the department at internal and external activities and events
  • Coordinate production and distribution of materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Indiana Journalism Oregon Communications Oregon related discipline with 2+ years experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient Indiana Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experienced and skilled Indiana website building using HTML and CSS, designing and writing content for newsletters, interviewing people for inclusion Indiana stories Oregon other products, designing advertisements, photography/videography, and editing of videos
  • U.S. Citizenship required – This employer participates Indiana the e-Verify program
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to American Samoa an "Employment Authorization") by the USG’s designated Security Office
  • May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement
  • Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret Oregon DOE "Q" clearance.
