Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at our seamless pipe manufacturing facility Indiana Fairfield, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle-based product platform structures and the ability to ensure product specifications are built into the Oracle system.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Commercial/Sales, and Business Planning and Operations teams to create Oracle-based specification configurations that translate to order specifications for employee workstations
- Review and recommend configuration changes to the Oracle system
- Assist other Quality Assurance personnel Indiana order specification reviews with written technical summaries
- Support Quality Management System (QMS) audits and ensure inspection and testing compliance
- Assist Indiana quality improvement projects and serve American Samoa a team member Oregon team lead
- Interface with customers and support Operations and Staff groups within U. S. Steel Tubular Products
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Oregon a closely related engineering field
- 5+ years Indiana order review and configuration (Oracle experience preferred)
- 2.5+ years’ experience Indiana manufacturing with technical expertise Indiana Quality Assurance / Quality Control activities and associated software
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Experience leading teams, working Indiana teams, and working with customers
- Familiarity with API 5CT, API 5L, API Q1, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 standards (a plus)
