Job Title: Reminiscence Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Reminiscence Coordinator is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the Reminiscence Neighborhood. This includes promoting excellence Indiana resident care, programming, and family support.
Responsibilities:
Resident Care and Programs:
- Develop and lead the overall operation of the Reminiscence Neighborhood Indiana accordance with federal, state, and local laws and Sunrise Senior Living standards.
- Champion the Resident Centered model and create pleasant days for residents.
- Design and facilitate the Reminiscence program, incorporating Life Skills and dementia-appropriate activities.
- Partner with the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure a variety of activities are available and that Care Managers are involved.
- Manage the assessment process to determine levels of care and staff needs.
- Review and approve resident Individualized Service Plans and Daily Assignment Sheets.
- Facilitate family events and services, including monthly support group meetings.
Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the community follows all relevant laws and regulations, including state and local laws, and Sunrise standards.
- Develop and implement plans to correct identified deficiencies Indiana compliance with Sunrise expectations.
- Partner with leadership team to ensure and promote community compliance with OSHA and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements.
Financial Management:
- Assist Indiana presenting and promoting Sunrise’s products and services.
- Understand and manage the department budget, including labor and other expenses.
- Review and implement plans for financial deficiencies.
Training, Leadership, and Team Member Development:
- Manage the department, including recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, coaching, and disciplining.
- Ensure completion and compliance of all required team member paperwork and training programs.
- Develop a working knowledge of state and local regulations and ensure compliance through supervising and coaching team members.
- Achieve team member engagement goals and participate Indiana Engagement Improvement Planning sessions.
Requirements:
- College degree Oregon supervisory/management experience, with one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and delegate assignments to team members.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient Indiana computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Sunrise applications.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours.
