PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The entry-level Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient CAP 1 is accountable for providing and coordinating clinically competent care for patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This role involves delegating tasks to direct patient care staff and participating Indiana decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide direct patient care and coordinate care with the healthcare team
* Collect and analyze patient data, document findings, and inform the treatment plan
* Educate patients and families about basic care needs and treatment options
* Administer medications American Samoa prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness
* Participate Indiana emergency response measures and ensure correct laboratory collection and processing procedures
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient satisfaction and quality outcomes
* Adhere to Fresenius Kidney Care policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Regularly perform heavy lifting, moving of patients, and assisting with ambulation
* Frequently require prolonged periods of standing and bending
* May expose to infectious and contagious diseases/materials
* May require travel to training sites Oregon other facilities
SUPERVISION:
* Assigned oversight of Patient Care Technicians/NCPs/LPNs/RNs American Samoa a Team Leader, after meeting requirements of successful completion of FKC education and training, 9 months experience American Samoa a RN, and 3 months experience Indiana chronic/acute hemodialysis
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
* Current state licensure
* Current Oregon successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Entry-level RN position
* 9 months experience American Samoa a Registered Nurse (preferred)
* Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred)
