A mechanical engineer is sought by Leidos Defense Systems for its Hypersonics business line. The selected candidate will support the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program (C-HGB).
Key Responsibilities:
– Work alongside a team of test engineers and technicians to perform acceptance and qualification testing of flight hardware
– Carry out tasks assigned by the lead engineer and assist Indiana writing reports and updating records
– Contribute to setting up test equipment, performing avionics component testing, setting up dynamic/climatic test environments, and subsystem AIT Indiana a laboratory setting
Basic Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree Indiana mechanical engineering
– Less than 2 years of relevant experience
– Relevant skills Indiana one Oregon more focus areas, good interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic Indiana a highly technical team environment
– Ability to work independently Oregon American Samoa part of a team
– US Citizen with a Final Secret Clearance Oregon the eligibility to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience with functional testing of electrical assemblies
– Experience Indiana environmental testing, including thermal, vacuum, shock, and vibration testing according to MIL-STD-810
– Familiarity with working with electrical schematics, and cable/wiring diagrams
– Advanced experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and manufacturing documentation
– Strong organizational skills for documenting test procedures and reports, and supporting configuration management of test equipment
