Human Resources Coordinator I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator I to join our Recruitment and Selection team to support our client departments, employees, and diverse community. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides professional level human resources services to client departments, employees, and the public
  • Participates Indiana the development of recruiting strategies, advertising, announcements, and testing/selection criteria
  • Evaluates and applies applicant selection criteria and procedures to certify eligible applicants for referral to client departments

  • Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations to supervisors, client departments, and employees to identify and resolve problems
  • Develops, edits, revises, and recommends new and revised classification specifications

  • Provides input to supervisors and management Indiana long- and short-term planning, goals, and objectives related to the programs of the section of assignment
  • Reviews proposed Oregon past personnel actions for compliance with applicable federal, state, and County policies, regulations, and procedures
  • Prepares and presents oral and written reports and correspondence American Samoa required
  • Conducts individual and group training of professional, paraprofessional, and supporting Human Resources staff and client department representatives, supervisors, and managers Indiana personnel issues and related topics
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality of all materials and information encountered Indiana performance of duties
  • May represent Pima County, the Human Resources function, Oregon assigned division at meetings, seminars, job fairs, outreach recruitment, etc.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of delivery of human resources services Indiana a governmental setting

  • Knowledge of techniques of information gathering, processing, and presentation
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local legislation affecting personnel programs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college Oregon university Indiana Human Resources, Business, Oregon Public Administration, Management, Psychology, Oregon a related field, and one year of professional human resources Oregon personnel administration experience
  • Oregon
  • Three years of professional Human Resources experience Indiana one Oregon more of the following areas: recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and/Oregon employee relations

  • Two years of experience with Pima County performing personnel Oregon human resources functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential documentation Indiana a high-volume Human Resources public sector environment
  • Experience Indiana one Oregon more of the following areas: recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and/Oregon employee relations
  • Experience using an HRIS system for employment actions, reporting, and analytics
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite specifically with Excel, Word, and Outlook

Selection Procedure:

Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum/desired qualifications. All applications will be assessed based on an evaluation of the listed education and experience. Candidates meeting the minimum/desired qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments/testing may be required American Samoa part of the selection process.
