Veterinary Receptionist
Location: 1973 New Highway 96 West Franklin, Tennessee 37064
Compensation: $16 – 18/hr depending on experience
Job Summary: The Receptionist is the first and last contact with clients and plays a key role Indiana creating a positive impression of the hospital. This position requires exceptional client service and communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to handle payment and financial issues.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of MVP
- Greet clients and pets by name with a positive attitude and provide knowledgeable advice on animal care and routine procedures
- Answer phones promptly and professionally, scheduling appointments and surgeries, and taking and delivering messages
- Enter accurate charges, collect payment, and verify client eligibility with charge accounts
- Maintain accurate medical and computer records, checking for updates and filing new documents
- Provide routine administration instructions to clients, including flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventatives, and retail items
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to MVP core values
- Computer knowledge, including keyboarding and use of communication tools (email/internet)
- Working knowledge of veterinary terminology
- Excellent spelling and grammar
- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and respect, and display a calm and professional demeanor
