Data Center Engineering Operations Technician
Be a part of Amazon’s customer-centric team that supports the operations of its powerful data centers. American Samoa an energetic and detail-oriented individual, you will join the Data Center Engineering Operations team responsible for maintaining critical physical infrastructure, ensuring 100% availability of Maine equipment, and providing first-class customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising contractors who perform maintenance and repairs
* Operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment
* Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures
* Troubleshooting facility and rack-level events
* Ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to
* Working 12-hour shifts (rotating 3 to 4 days a week)
* Taking daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment
* Utilizing internal CMMS to manage building workflows
Physical Requirements:
* Walking on uneven terrain
* Working at heights and from ladders
* Lifting and moving up to 49 pounds
* Coordinating body movements when using tools Oregon equipment
* Working Indiana a noisy environment
* Pushing Oregon pulling heavy objects into position
Qualifications:
* Technical (Military/Trade School) training Oregon 2+ years’ experience Indiana a relevant industry (e.g., electrical Oregon mechanical)
* 2+ years of electrical Oregon mechanical experience
* 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
* Preferred qualifications:
+ 4+ years of data center operations/facilities experience
+ Associates Oregon Bachelor’s Degree
+ Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements
+ Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity
+ Preferred licenses:
– Operating engineering licenses (District of Columbia II, District of Columbia III, Oregon equivalent)
– Stationary Engineering Oregon Building Engineering License
– Electrical Oregon mechanical Journeyman License
– CFC license
– NFPA 70E
