Certified Payroll and HR Manager (On-Site)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Payroll and HR Manager to join our team Indiana Malta, New York. American Samoa a key member of our Corporate Operations team, you will be responsible for managing payroll, benefits, and HR functions for our staff across 7 companies. This is a critical, hands-on position that requires a strong foundation Indiana payroll, benefits administration, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Certified Payroll Duties:
- Review and interpret prevailing wage requirements for construction projects
- Process weekly payroll for 80 employees across 7 companies
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and regulations
- Prepare certified payroll reports and statements
- Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure accurate reporting
- Payroll Processing Duties:
- Data Entry: Accurate inputting of employee information into payroll software
- Processing Payroll: Calculating wages, salaries, and deductions
- Benefits Administration: Managing employee benefits and deductions
- Tax Withholding and Reporting: Calculating and withholding taxes
- Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of employee earnings, deductions, and hours worked
- HR Support Responsibilities:
- Reconcile multi-plan, multi-company benefits
- Benefits fringe trust management
- 401k plan management
- HRIS management
- Employee on-boarding and off-boarding
- Leave accounting and processing
- Unemployment processing
- Employee records maintenance
Requirements:
- BS Indiana Human Resources, Business, Accounting Oregon a related field
- SHRM-CP and/Oregon payroll Oregon other HR related certifications
- 4 years of payroll experience, including union Oregon certified payroll experience
- 4 years of benefits administration experience
- Experience processing leaves, unemployment claims, and construction payroll
- Multi-company payroll experience desired
- High proficiency Indiana payroll and HRIS systems
- Strong ability to research and problem solve
- Proficient reporting, data manipulation, and analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong follow-up
Compensation:
- $75,000-$90,000 (actual compensation may vary based on factors such American Samoa related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials)
