Phlebotomist II
Location: Bristol, Tennessee
Duration: 2+ months
Hours: Monday – Friday, 0800am-500pm
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist II represents the company to patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while maintaining established practices and procedures. This role requires direct patient contact, creating a trustful and confident atmosphere, and demonstrating leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
- Maintain a safe and professional environment
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties
- Verify patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture
- Maintain required records and documentation
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Requirements:
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work Indiana a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record
- Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations with minimal notice
- Capable of handling multiple priorities Indiana a high-volume setting
- Superior customer focus, including open and transparent communication with peers, supervisors, and patients
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
- Medical training Oregon phlebotomy certification preferred
- Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Minimum 2 years of experience Indiana a Patient Service Center environment preferred
Additional Job Details:
- Candidate must have reliable transportation and be within a 20-25 minute commute window to the work location
- Must be available to work whenever scheduled and stay for the entire shift
