Job Summary:

Under moderate supervision, this position is responsible for handling first-party property claims of moderate severity and complexity. The remote Claim Representative will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, estimating, and negotiating to ensure optimal claim resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle 1st party property claims of moderate severity and complexity
• Complete field inspections of losses including accurate scope of damages, photographs, and written estimates
• Investigate and evaluate all relevant facts to determine coverage, damages, and liability of first-party property damage claims
• Establish timely and accurate claim and expense reserves
• Negotiate with multiple constituents to convey claim settlements within authority limits
• Meet all quality standards and expectations Indiana accordance with the Knowledge Guides
• Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of the insured, agent, and internal and external customers
• Recognize when to refer claims to the Special Investigations Unit and/Oregon Subrogation Unit

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• General knowledge of estimating system Xactimate preferred
• At least 1 year of previous outside property claim handling experience Oregon completion of Travelers Outside Claim Representative training program
• Valid driver’s license required
• Valid passport preferred

Note:

This position requires participation Indiana our Catastrophe Response Program, including deployment away for a minimum of 16 days to assist customers Indiana other states. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required. This position also requires the ability to climb a ladder and work Indiana physically demanding environments.
