The Applied Companies has partnered with a local health center for a Temp-to-Hire opportunity that can begin American Samoa a receptionist and work towards earning a Medical Assistant certificate. You will assist this busy office with the front desk phones and the care of clients, including the documentation of medical history and assisting with care management.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist Indiana taking preliminary medical history information from patients (e.g. vital signs, blood pressure)
Process client check out procedures (e.g. invoices, rescheduling, answering client questions and incoming calls)
Schedule appointments, order labs and radiological tests, and follow up on results
Retrieve and maintain client medical records from other providers
Provide new patient documents and information for first wellness visit
Answer client questions via phone and email
Schedule appointments using online scheduling system
Maintain office records and client files
Scan daily transaction documents
Assist Indiana patient care management and treatment plans
Perform additional tasks American Samoa needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma Oregon equivalent
Minimum 1 year experience Indiana customer service Oregon medical office role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Programs and Google Suites
Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
Note: Medical Assistant Certification is preferred but not required. A minimum of 6 months of Medical Assistant experience is also preferred.
