Job Title: Precision Assembler
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Precision Assembler to join our team at Flowserve. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing assembly work and documentation, assembling equipment and tools, and performing test requirements. The Precision Assembler will also be responsible for disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling equipment during repair processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of inspection equipment, their functions, and uses to ensure parts and assemblies are within specifications
- Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and follow all assembly procedures
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal safety equipment
- Operate precision measuring tools, hand tools, and troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly
- Possess a sharp eye for detail and a results-oriented approach
- Calculate basic mathematical functions and read and interpret documents such American Samoa blueprints and technical drawings
- Participate Indiana CIP activities and comply with Flowserve policies and procedures
- Communicate clearly to peers, supervisors, and customers and demonstrate a customer-service mindset
Requirements:
- HS Diploma / GED and 5-7 years relevant experience
- Workshop experience and knowledge of automation control and electrical components a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer aptitude to use/learn data entry systems and Microsoft Office Package
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends American Samoa required on short notice
