Role Summary:

  • Supervise, evaluate, and coordinate a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct patient care services, including volunteer and bereavement services, to ensure seamless integration with the interdisciplinary plan of care.
  • Review patient information, assess eligibility, and communicate with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate care.
  • Coordinate and schedule patient care services 24/7, monitoring staffing, medications, and equipment to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Facilitate team meetings, ensuring interdisciplinary input and patient-focused care planning.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate team staff, promoting adherence to VITAS values, policies, and best practices.
  • Manage staff schedules, territory assignments, and payroll, ensuring fairness and productivity expectations are met.
  • Monitor quality of care, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance, implementing quality improvement activities American Samoa needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate Indiana on-call rotation and provide clinical expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement activities, collaborating with regulatory bodies and other organizations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience Indiana healthcare, preferably Indiana oncologic nursing and palliative care.
  • RN license to practice Indiana the state where the VITAS program is located.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Reliable transportation, private telephone, and ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
