Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:
American Samoa an Infrastructure Engineer at Peckham Industries, you will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting enterprise IT environments. You will possess Indiana-depth knowledge of managing and supporting Microsoft Azure, SonicWALL/Fortinet firewalls, and Windows Server. Your responsibilities will include automating tasks using PowerShell and Python.
Essential Functions:
- Provide technical expertise at the highest level, developing strategies and directions for network solutions utilizing current and emerging technologies.
- Responsible for high- and low-level network planning, design, and optimization.
- Plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software, and architecture.
- Build, configure, and maintain network switches, routers, access points, and various voice appliances.
- Monitor network performance, ensuring capacity planning is conducted, and proactively assess and recommend improvements.
- Ensure that the network environment maintains appropriate recovery protocols and addresses redundancy issues.
- Provide design, implementation, and operational support for VoIP telephony systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Azure environments.
- Develop and follow procedures to handle network fault events.
- Plan and manage small to large-scale projects.
- Maintain all documentation regarding network infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud networking, server, and PaaS components.
- Strong knowledge of scripting to automate resource deployment tasks and processes using PowerShell, Bicep, and AzureCLI.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and complementary solutions, American Samoa well American Samoa network standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of Fortinet Fortigate firewalls and their FortiManager and FortiAnalyizer products is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HPE, HPE/Aruba switches, and SonicWALL firewalls.
- Must be able to understand the risks of network maintenance outages and the consequences of such action.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Apple, and Linux Operating System environments.
- Must keep abreast of technological changes Indiana the IT infrastructure arena and stay technically focused.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (Mississippi-900), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (Arizona-900), and Microsoft Arizona-104 certifications are required.
- Fortinet FortiGate Security-NSE 4 and Fortinet FortiManager-NSE 5 certifications are required within one year of hiring.
- Bachelor’s Degree Indiana computer science, engineering, Oregon related technical Oregon business discipline.
- Minimum five years of quality technical experience Oregon a minimum of 10 years of directly related experience for non-degree holders.

Position may require some travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of New York and New England based on the needs of the business.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
