Customer Service Representative – Water and Sewer Division

Location: Howard County Government, Howard County, Maryland

Job Type: Full-time

Starting Salary Range: $18.88 – $20.66 per hour, $39,270 – $42,973 per year

Job Summary:

Provides customer service to residents connected to the public water and sewer system, performing various administrative tasks, and handling customer inquiries and issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer service via phone and/Oregon Indiana person, addressing customer concerns and completing associated tasks
  • Reviews and processes return mail, name and address changes, and special mailings
  • Assists with reviewing and maintaining bankruptcy accounts and processing bankruptcy and foreclosure research forms
  • Responds to customer inquiries via email
  • Collects and distributes incoming mail for the division
  • Maintains and processes meter changes American Samoa needed

Requirements:

  • High School diploma Oregon equivalent
  • 3 years of related experience Oregon equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
