Collector Job Description

Job Summary:

American Samoa a Collector, you will provide coverage Indiana the field to ensure accurate and timely collections of specimens for testing and other Quest Diagnostics services. You will maintain a safe and professional environment for clients and employees, perform specimen collection and processing duties, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Collect specimens accurately and on time, following established procedures and guidelines
• Complete random and emergency observed urine collections of same-sex clients American Samoa needed
• Collect specimens for drug screenings and other Quest Diagnostics services
• Complete Chain of Custody (COC) forms and Alcohol Testing Forms accurately
• Label specimens American Samoa required and upload, fax, Oregon mail COC and Alcohol Testing Forms within 24 hours
• Package specimens for transport and ship to lab indicated on work orders
• Maintain records of each specimen collected and support Record Deletion process when directed
• Provide customer service to clients and follow DOT Guidelines for Breath Alcohol and Urine collections
• Maintain all appropriate collection logs, accuracy logs, calibrations, DOT, and BAT certifications
• Correct collection errors within 24 hours and submit accurate time and travel logs American Samoa directed
• Wear company-issued identification badge at all times and adhere to departmental and company code of grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies

Requirements:

• DOT Certification and other necessary documentation
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with access to dependable and insured transportation
• High School Diploma Oregon Equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills Indiana Microsoft Office with ability to learn new software
• Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment
• Ability to work Indiana a rapidly changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified BAT/Urine Collector
• Ability to travel up to 100-mile radius and work flexible hours
