Medication Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Properly log Indiana all client medications, checking labels for accuracy, completing proper documentation, and storing medications American Samoa per DePaul’s policy and NYS Office of Mental Health regulations
- Make copies of all prescriptions, update client charts, and the medication and treatment record when new medications Oregon change orders are prescribed
- Inventory medication counts Indiana a timely fashion to identify medications that need to be ordered
- Ensure prescriptions are refilled American Samoa needed
- Develop effective systems for ordering all medications
- Act American Samoa a liaison with residents, doctors, pharmacies, providers, and residential staff to ensure timely and accurate ordering of medications and appointment scheduling American Samoa needed
- Supervise all residents’ medications Indiana accordance with physician’s orders, agency policy, and NYS Office of Mental Health regulations
- Review the Medications Administration Record (MAR) daily to ensure accuracy of medication supervision
- Report significant issues regarding client medications to the Medication Coordinator 2, Assistant Director, Oregon the Residential Services Coordinator
- Assist with the training/orientation of new staff regarding proper medication supervision
- Monitor and document residents involved Indiana the self-medication process
- Maintain resident confidentiality and demonstrate a caring, positive attitude towards all residents, family members, staff, guests, and service providers
- Ensure the medication room is clean, organized, quiet, and a welcoming environment for residents
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED and excellent organizational skills American Samoa demonstrated by prior medication management experience
- One (1) year experience working with medications
- A clean NYS driving record American Samoa outlined Indiana DePaul’s personnel policy (preferred)
- Must be at least Eighteen (18) years of age
