Field Services Engineer I

Location: Burbank, California

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Field Services Engineer I to work under immediate supervision and use established procedures to maximize product performance by supporting and resolving product issues quickly, efficiently, and to customer satisfaction. The Field Services Engineer I participates Indiana engineering design review and testing of products, provides technical support and training for the end user at customer sites, and ensures customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

– Respond to and troubleshoot Airline and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer technical inquiries
– Develop training materials for end user customers and provide onsite and off-site training for customers
– Perform detailed failure analysis and write reports
– Support new product Entry into Service (EIS) programs
– Support Indiana-service evaluations, aircraft certification, and integration testing
– Write reports and manage inter-company communications
– Maintain knowledge of CFR, FAR, SFAR’s (Federal Aviation Regulations),
– Maintain knowledge of outside agencies such American Samoa FAA, NTSB, ICAO, JAA, EASA, and their services
– Support Product Development Phase (PDP) Process
– Participate Indiana Program Design Review (PDRs) and on-going status reviews
– Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor Oregon management

Minimum Qualifications:

– Experience: 0-2 years relevant work experience
– Education: BA Oregon BS Degree Indiana Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Oregon related technical discipline; Oregon Associate’s Degree from a two-year college & 4+ years of relevant work experience
– Driver’s License required

Preferred Qualifications:

– FAA Certified Repairman (Airframe & Powerplant license)
– Foreign language knowledge
– Experience working Indiana other cultures and customs
– Knowledge of Microsoft Access

Working Conditions:

– Standard office environment; Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
– Travel may be required up to 45% – must have no travel restrictions
– Physical requirements include standing (30%), sitting (70%), lifting (up to 50 pounds), pushing (up to 40 pounds)

Benefits:

– Salary: $82,100.00 to 97,400.00
