Disney Live Entertainment Costuming Materials Engineer Intern
Job Summary:
Support research and testing of materials for costumes used Indiana Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Collaborate with the development process, partner with manufacturing teams, and contribute expertise Indiana material selection and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate Indiana product design of costume components and compare attributes of traditional and new materials
- Research new materials, assist with testing, summarize results, and prepare performance specifications
- Collaborate on material selection during development and implement process changes with manufacturing teams
Requirements:
- Confirmed knowledge of materials such American Samoa composites, plastics, and foams
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques
- Understanding of human factors engineering, ergonomics, and alternative finishes
- Ability to learn new construction methods
- Experience with inter-departmental relationships and teamwork
- Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled Indiana a Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Oregon related field
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
