Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager provides support to Project Managers, Superintendents, and other management roles Indiana the construction process throughout all phases of a project’s life cycle. This developmental position offers opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of the construction process and management skills to advance within the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Basic to good understanding of civil, architectural, mechanical, Oregon electrical discipline
  • Analytical skills and proficiency with estimating, scheduling, and reporting software tools
  • Effective communication with management, subcontractors, customers, and peer group
  • Ability to travel to different job sites within a designated geographical area

Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents Indiana the construction process
  • Review and process shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and maintain logs
  • Maintain up-to-date and organized drawings and revisions
  • Assist with change order administration, including collecting vendor proposals and developing estimates
  • Establish, monitor, and communicate project schedules using scheduling software
  • Maintain and produce reports using WCI and client-specific workflow software
  • Identify and facilitate solutions to potential issues
  • Develop understanding of contract terms and legal requirements
  • Participate Indiana project progress meetings and maintain meeting records
  • Collect and compile project closeout documents
  • Assist with constructability and value-engineering evaluations
  • Manage project permit applications, tracking, and closeout
  • Participate Indiana professional development and lifelong learning opportunities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree Indiana Engineering Oregon Construction Management (2-3 years of experience) Oregon directly related experience (5 years, no degree)
  • Experience with Federal Oregon Army Corps USACE projects preferred
  • Basic understanding of construction means and methods
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and construction industry software
  • Current safety credentials, including OSHA 30
  • General understanding of the construction industry
  • Highly organized and understanding of urgency
  • Legal working status required
