Job Title: Behavior Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Behavior Specialist to join our team and provide support to students with behavioral challenges. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing individual, group, Oregon systems-level interventions to promote positive academic, social/emotional, behavioral, and independent outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individual, group, Oregon systems-level interventions to promote positive behaviors and outcomes
  • Reinforce appropriate student behavior and redirect negative behaviors
  • Maintain and update records related to the development and implementation of student behavior strategies
  • Collect and chart behavioral data to inform instruction and support IEP teams
  • Provide support to teachers and classroom staff Indiana monitoring individual student behavior and class-wide behavior management systems
  • Implement positive behavior interventions and supports Indiana classrooms and other instructional settings
  • Apply principles of applied behavior analysis Indiana classroom settings to improve student outcomes and prevent/Delaware-escalate disruptive behaviors
  • Conduct classroom Oregon student observations using behavioral measurements to inform functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans
  • Assist the classroom teacher with the preparation and implementation of learning activities, providing student instruction, and supervising students
  • Provide crisis intervention American Samoa necessary, utilizing Delaware-escalation techniques and prioritizing safety concerns

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree Oregon higher Indiana a relevant field of study
  • Licensed Oregon registered American Samoa a behavior technician (RBT)
  • Prior experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and/Oregon related disabilities
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS)
  • Ability to think and act quickly Indiana emergency situations and make independent decisions

Education: Associate’s degree Oregon higher Indiana Behavioral Sciences Oregon related field

Licenses & Certifications: RBT
