Procurement Specialist

Role Purpose:

Responsible for sourcing and developing the supply chain of specified categories of goods and services, and providing ongoing tactical procurement support for product line changes of non-strategic materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Customer Service Centers and corporate disciplines to determine sourcing needs and implement effective solutions
  • Manage vendor performance, addressing issues and analyzing alternatives to resolve problems
  • Identify supplier development opportunities and pursue opportunities that benefit LSG
  • Work with Program Management to ensure proper sourcing, specifications, and price parameters
  • Drive year-over-year cost reductions through product standardization and best-Indiana-class commodity/service costs
  • Onboard vendors who meet LSG qualifications and guide customers towards standardized products
  • Model corporate values, support other departments, and exhibit fiscal responsibility Indiana procurement decisions
  • Resolve problems and drive issues to closure with supervision
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays American Samoa required

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years purchasing Oregon related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree Indiana Purchasing/Supply Chain management (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of SAP (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, and effectively work Indiana teams and with customers
  • Valid current driver’s license
