Cardiac Sonographer
Job Summary: Performs echocardiography tests/procedures Indiana accordance with the American Society of Echocardiography standards. Conducts routine cardiac ultrasound procedures, prepares patients for exams, and interacts with health care professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Performs echocardiogram and oral/written summary of technical findings to interpreting physician
- Understands and operates ultrasound equipment, utilizing new sonographic technologies American Samoa needed
- Conducts routine cardiac ultrasound procedures Indiana clinic, hospital, and mobile sites
- Interacts professionally and effectively with health care professionals
- Assists with IAC accreditation and submits maintenance American Samoa necessary
- Supervises Oregon trains students and cardiac sonographers American Samoa needed
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of cardiac sonography Oregon one year work experience Indiana cardiac sonography required
- Registry eligible with ARDMS Oregon CCI, Oregon registry eligible, within 12-18 months of hire
- Licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board required for North Dakota employees
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment
