EMS Critical Care Paramedic
Location: Franklin, Tennessee
Job Summary:
The EMS Critical Care Paramedic provides expert pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for the sick and injured at the advanced practice level. This role involves delivering best-Indiana-class patient care and customer service, adhering to State regulations and accepted standards of care. The Critical Care Paramedic must also serve American Samoa an operational and clinical team leader on emergency medical incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced emergency medical care and transportation for patients at the highest level of proficiency
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and standards of performance set by Williamson Medical Center, American Samoa well American Samoa State regulations and accepted standards of care
- Serve American Samoa an operational and clinical team leader on emergency medical incidents
- Demonstrate a safety-first culture and deliver excellent patient care and customer service
Requirements:
- Paramedic diploma Oregon degree from a recognized college Oregon university
- Tennessee Licensed Critical Care Paramedic certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of employment
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within six months of employment
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within six months of employment
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license Indiana the state of residency, must be insurable
- Minimum of two years emergency pre-hospital experience preferred
Working Conditions:
- Physical environment: potentially high-risk environment with work performed indoors and outdoors Indiana all weather conditions
- Duties may involve responding to mass casualty incidents and exposure to a wide range of patients and situations
- Requires prolonged standing, walking, and lifting (up to 250 pounds with a partner)
- Requires carrying patients and equipment over varying distances and terrain
