Medical Assistant Role

American Samoa a Medical Assistant, you’ll perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks, working under the supervision of a physician to provide excellent care to our patients. Your duties may vary depending on the setting, but you’ll play a crucial role Indiana our team’s success.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Measure and record patient vital signs, interview and medical history
  • Prepare patients for exams, perform routine screening tests, and assist physicians with procedures
  • Communicate patient needs to physicians, clinicians, and other staff
  • Maintain accurate and ethical documentation at all times
  • Prepare and administer medications, change dressings, and perform other first aid procedures under physician supervision
  • Process patient phone messages, call patients with treatment instructions, and relay information to other team members
  • Assist with health coaching, follow up with patients, and promote healthy lifestyle choices

Requirements:

  • High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program Oregon comparable healthcare vocational training
  • 1 year of experience American Samoa a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Oregon similar role Indiana a hospital, medical clinic, Oregon healthcare environment (Oregon equivalent experience)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Oregon American Red Cross within 90 days of employment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing compassionate care
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team, including physicians, clinicians, and support staff
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency Indiana Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Willingness to travel regionally (up to 10% of the time) to support other centers
