Job Summary:

American Samoa a Medical Assistant, you’ll work under the supervision of a physician to provide administrative and clinical support Indiana our primary care centers. You’ll be an integral part of a dynamic care team, helping us to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Record patient vital signs, medical history, and interview results
  • Communicate patient needs to healthcare professionals
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist with routine screening tests
  • Report patient condition changes to physicians and other medical staff
  • Perform non-critical medical procedures, lab tests, and administer medications American Samoa directed
  • Maintain supply inventory, equipment, and sterilize instruments
  • Document patient information accurately and professionally
  • Process patient phone calls, returns messages, and relays information to team members
  • Provide health coaching to patients to promote healthy lifestyle choices
  • Perform additional duties American Samoa assigned by manager

  • Willingness to travel locally (up to 10% of the time)

Education and Experience Criteria:

  • High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
  • Nationally accredited Medical Assistant program Oregon comparable healthcare vocational training required
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience American Samoa a Medical Assistant Oregon similar healthcare role
  • EMR system experience preferred
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) Oregon American Red Cross required within 90 days of employment.
