Job Summary:

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Measure and record patient vital signs, medical history, and interview
  • Communicate patient needs to the physician, clinician, specialist, and other clinical personnel
  • Prepare patients for examinations, perform routine screening tests, and assist with exams
  • Monitor patients and report any changes Indiana patient conditions to the medical team
  • Perform non-critical medical procedures, collect phlebotomy and lab specimens, and administer medications under physician supervision
  • Maintain medical supplies, equipment, and instruments, and follow OSHA safety standards
  • Process patient phone messages, return calls, and route them to other team members American Samoa needed; call patients to obtain and relay important information for the physician
  • Provide health coaching to patients and follow up with coached patients via weekly calls

  • Spoken and written fluency Indiana English
  • High school diploma Oregon equivalent education required
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program Oregon comparable healthcare vocational training required
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience American Samoa a Medical Assistant Oregon similar role required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Oregon American Red Cross required within the first 90 days of employment.
