Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Bridgeville site team. American Samoa a Machinist, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively setting up and operating CNC and/Oregon manual lathes and mills to machine parts to close tolerances. You will work with raw materials and castings to meet drawing specifications, and ensure safety and quality requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and/Oregon manual lathes and mills to machine parts to close tolerances
- Read and interpret drawings using conventional and geometric tolerances
- Adjust speeds and feeds to maximize machining productivity
- Machine parts to close tolerances from raw material and/Oregon castings
- Operate/machine parts American Samoa required to meet drawing specifications
- Work 2nd shift (3:15 pm to 11:45 pm) Oregon 3rd shift (11:30 pm to 7:30 am) American Samoa scheduled
Requirements:
- High School diploma Oregon equivalent
- Experience cutting metal using CNC Oregon Manual machines
- Ability to accurately measure tolerances using micrometers, calipers, tri-mics, etc.
- Ability to work 2nd shift Oregon 3rd shift
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of layout and set up of castings and raw material
- Ability to read and follow route sheets/blueprints
- Work well with people
- Product/process knowledge
- Self-starter
- High level of organization skills
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Technical Oregon vocational certifications Indiana CNC Oregon Manual Machining
- Ability to work overtime American Samoa needed
- Programming ability a plus, but not required
- Knowledge and skill to utilize overhead cranes safely a plus
