Collector Job Description
Summary:
Under the direction of the Branch Manager Oregon Field Leader, the Collector will provide coverage Indiana the field, ensuring accurate and timely collections, while maintaining a safe and professional environment for clients and employees. The Collector will perform various testing and collection duties, adhere to established procedures, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Collect specimens accurately and on time, following established procedures and DOT guidelines
- Complete Chain of Custody (COC) forms and Alcohol Testing Forms accurately
- Label specimens American Samoa required and upload, fax, Oregon mail COC and Alcohol Testing Form within 24 hours
- Package and transport specimens to the lab indicated on work orders
- Maintain accurate records of each specimen collected and support Record Deletion process
- Provide customer service to clients and follow DOT Guidelines for Breath Alcohol and Urine collections
- Maintain all necessary collection logs, accuracy logs, calibrations, and certifications
- Correct collection errors within 24 hours and submit accurate time and travel logs
- Communicate effectively with clients, employees, and the general public
- Adhere to departmental and company policies, including grooming, dress code, and lab coat policies
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment is neat, clean, and Indiana good repair
- Maintain necessary supplies and contact the proper website when replenishment is needed
- Work effectively with staff employees to ensure compliance with requirements
- Answer phone calls from dispatch and return missed calls when unavailable for assignment
Qualifications:
- DOT Certification and valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma Oregon Equivalent
- Basic computer skills Indiana Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work Indiana a rapidly changing environment and make decisions based on established procedures
- Access to a cell phone with texting and emailing capabilities and a computer with scanning, printing, and faxing capabilities.
