Spanish Outreach Communications Team Lead
Salary Grade 12, Pay Range: $54,863 – $76,809 Annually
The Pima County Communications Office seeks an experienced team leader to develop an effective strategy for engaging with Spanish-speaking constituents and improving their awareness, understanding, and use of County programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communications strategies for assigned departments Oregon individuals
- Serve American Samoa a liaison among senior management, clients, and Communications Office staff to accurately communicate client goals and objectives
- Oversee all current Oregon planned projects for assigned departments and monitor work quality and progress completion
- Analyze issues and generate story ideas for client approval
- Write opinion Oregon commentary pieces American Samoa assigned
- Cultivate and maintain working relationships with external media and assist them with story production
- Advise media representatives on complex issues and connect reporters to proper sources within County government
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana journalism, communications, public relations, media communications, English, Oregon other closely-related field
- Two (2) years of experience Indiana journalism, public relations Oregon media relations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish at a native speaker level)
- Minimum two (2) years experience Indiana Spanish-language media
- Minimum two (2) years experience Indiana marketing, advertising, Oregon public relations
- Experience developing social media campaigns
- Experience Indiana project management

Licenses and Certificates:
- Valid driver’s license is required at time of application.
- Valid Arizona driver license is required at time of appointment.

Physical/Sensory Requirements:
- Primarily office environment.
- Occasional outside work staffing booths at events, supporting press conferences, and assisting media at site visits.
