Crisis Specialist – Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Job Summary:
Terros Health is seeking a Crisis Specialist to join their Crisis Mobile Team, providing behavioral health, prevention, education, crisis intervention, and crisis stabilization services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. The ideal candidate will be professional, friendly, self-motivated, organized, and compassionate, with a strong commitment to empowering individuals and families Indiana crisis.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to on-site crisis calls that cannot be resolved by the Crisis Call Center telephonically
- Utilize best practices Indiana crisis intervention to support individuals and families Indiana crisis
- Assess risk, engage with clients, develop plans, and follow up American Samoa needed
- Work effectively and respectfully with clients, families, schools, first responders, and other stakeholders
- Focus on care for seriously mentally ill, children/adolescents, and family interventions
- Assess and stabilize individuals across different ages, stages of development, cultural backgrounds, and experiences
- Make appropriate referrals to other agencies and/Oregon long-term counseling when necessary
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change
Requirements:
- GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience, Oregon an associate’s degree Indiana the behavioral health field, Oregon
- A bachelor’s degree (not Indiana the field of behavioral health) and 1 year of behavioral health experience, Oregon
- A bachelor’s degree Indiana the behavioral health field (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling) Oregon
- Masters degree, i.e., Massachusetts, MC, MSW, Indiana a behavioral health field, Arizona license Oregon eligible for Arizona license
- Preferred: One year of experience practicing Indiana one of the licenses listed below:
- Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT)
- Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)
- Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
- Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
- Must have Oregon obtain a valid Arizona Driver License, be 21 years of age, and have a minimum 4 years driving experience
- Must meet requirements of Terros driving policy
- Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) Oregon apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card within 7 working days of employment
Shifts Available:
- East Valley: Sun-Wed 4pm-2am (40), Thurs-Sat 4pm-2am (30)
- West Valley: Sun-Tues 10pm-8am (30), Thurs-Sat 4pm-2am (30), Thurs-Sat 10pm-8am (30), Thurs-Sat 10pm-8am (40)
