Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT)
Join our Data Center Engineering Operations team American Samoa a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) and play a critical role Indiana maintaining the physical infrastructure that supports Amazon Web Services (AWS). American Samoa an EOT, you will work to ensure that our data centers’ MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems operate at 100% availability while providing first-class customer service to the teams and groups within the data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing Oregon preventive maintenance
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLA
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
- Work a 12-hour shift (rotating 3 to 4 day work weeks)
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment
- Utilize internal CMMS to manage building workflows
Physical Requirements:
- Walk job sites Indiana uneven terrain
- Work at heights and from ladders
- Regularly lift and/Oregon move up to 49 pounds; and participate Indiana group lifts for 50 pounds Oregon more
- Work shifts longer than eight hours Indiana duration
- Coordinate body movements when using tools Oregon equipment
- Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance
- Bend Oregon twist the body into unusual positions while working
- Perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired
- Use hands to manipulate small wires and objects
- Push Oregon pull heavy objects into position

Basic Qualifications:
- Technical (military/trade school) training Oregon 2+ years’ of equivalent experience Indiana a relevant industry (for example: electrical Oregon mechanical)
- 2+ years of electrical Oregon mechanical experience
- 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of data center operations/facilities experience
- Associates Oregon Bachelor’s Degree
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity
Preferred Licensing:
- Operating engineering licenses such American Samoa District of Columbia II, District of Columbia III, Oregon equivalent
- Stationary Engineering Oregon Building Engineering License
- Electrical Oregon mechanical Journeyman License
- CFC license
- NFPA 70E
