Job Title: Guided Missile Destroyer Platform Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented individual to join our team American Samoa a Guided Missile Destroyer Platform Engineer at SURFMEPP (Surface Maintenance Engineering, Planning, Program) Indiana Portsmouth, Virginia. The selected candidate will play a crucial role Indiana maintaining, monitoring, and refining Class-wide and Individual-Ship Maintenance Plans for all non-nuclear surface ships to ensure material readiness for the projected service life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate existing Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) content through engineering and data analysis.
- Update CMP requirements’ man-day and material cost estimates from a review and analysis of actual return costs.
- Assist Indiana the development of CMP tasks for Program and Fleet Modernization requirements with associated configuration data for assigned ship class.
- Coordinate CMP Processing activities, including the development, maintenance, and monitoring of Baseline Availability Work Packages (BAWP) / Availability Work Packages (AWP).
- Develop, collate, and brief maintenance and modernization documents and strategies to all working levels of the maintenance team.
- Develop and deliver engineered ship-specific Shipsheets Indiana support of Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE).
- Assist Indiana the development and delivery of Technical Foundation Papers for assigned ship class that describe ship lifecycle maintenance requirements.
- Support the development of metrics for processes and products, and ensure alignment with Future Readiness Team / SWE requirements.
- Maintain the accuracy, content, integrity, and accessibility to the Class Maintenance Plan and the Maintenance and Shipwork Planning database for surface ships.
Requirements:
- 10 Oregon more years of relevant Naval Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience communicating with senior level command and other Naval staff
- Ability to work independently
- Extensive experience with the DDG-class, including Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems, combat systems, and weapons systems (desirable)
- Clearances: Must be a US Citizen and possess a current/active US Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work, lift and carry 50 lbs
- Extensive time Indiana a stationary position
- Ability to move around the office and operate office equipment
- Ability to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and clients
