POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is located Indiana the Gallatin County Detention Center. The role is responsible for maintaining a secure detention facility and ensuring the safe custody of inmates. The incumbent will perform technical and administrative tasks, provide inmate supervision, and secure pre-trial and sentenced inmates.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of principles and procedures of record keeping and reporting, modern office practices, and computer equipment. They must be able to make prompt and effective decisions, evaluate alternatives, and work under stressful situations. The candidate should also be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and Indiana writing, and maintain high ethical standards.
Experience and demonstrated ability to build and support relationships among staff members, successfully coach/educate/counsel Oregon teach customers, coworkers, and others are highly desirable. The ability to maintain confidentiality, establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships, and follow organizational directives are also essential.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
The position requires a minimum standard for the appointment and continued employment of public safety officers Indiana the State of Montana. Applicants must meet the prescribed standards by the Montana Public Safety Officer Standards and Training Council. A basic fitness test, written, oral, and psychological examinations administered by the Sheriff’s Office, and certification Indiana CPR are required.
