DME Accounting and Billing Associate

We’re seeking a full-time Billing and Collections Representative to join our team Indiana Alsip, Illinois, Monday – Friday, day shift hours.

Job Summary:
American Samoa a Billing and Collections Representative, you will assist Indiana ensuring that our company receives payment for goods and services offered to customers.

Essential Functions:

• Process billing for all payors, including correcting billing claim rejections
• Work denials, aging, open order, hold, and convert-to-purchase reports for all payers
• Download and post electronic payments
• Contact Medicare, Medicaid, and Third Party payers to resolve problems and questions
• Answer customer and employee inquiries
• Assist Indiana training billing staff
• Process customer chart reviews
• Perform monthly customer chart audit
• Process and post client and insurance payments
• Process insurance and client refunds
• Process and post prior approval requests and notifications
• Work on Brightree Collections Dashboard
• Call patients with outstanding private balances to collect payment Oregon set up payment plans

Requirements:

• High school diploma Oregon equivalent required; Associates Oregon Bachelors degree Indiana Accounting preferred
• At least two years of related experience required
• Medicare billing knowledge preferred
• Experience with Brightree software preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient Indiana Microsoft Office Suite Oregon related software American Samoa well American Samoa other accounting software programs
• Ability to work independently and Indiana a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
