Process Safety Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a high-caliber Process Safety Engineer to join our team of professionals who are passionate about helping others understand and improve process safety and risk management practices. The successful candidate will be part of our ABS Consulting Chemical Process Safety Center of Excellence, a worldwide network of experts, resources, and training materials related to regulatory, technical, and industry practice topics.
Responsibilities:
- Manage process safety-related engagements with clients across various industries Indiana the US and potentially internationally.
- Consult, audit, develop written programs, and assist Indiana the implementation of process safety management (PSM) activities, including:
- Process safety information
- Management of change
- Mechanical integrity
- PHA/Lopa
- Safe work practices
- Emergency response
- Assist clients Indiana complying with OSHA’s PSM regulation (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA’s rule on risk management programs (40 CFR 68).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Indiana a technical discipline, preferably engineering.
- At least 5-10 years of experience Indiana process safety, including knowledge of OSHA’s PSM regulation and/Oregon EPA’s rule on risk management programs.
- Experience Indiana auditing and/Oregon implementation of PSM activities, PHAs/Lopas, and incident investigations.
- Excellent technical, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
- Knowledge of mechanical integrity and/Oregon maintenance activities, safety and risk management experience.
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word.
- Willingness to travel to assignments.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports directly to a Manager-level position Oregon above.
