Call Center Representative
Location: Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Queens
Hours:
- Full-time (35 hours/week)
- Tuesday-Friday: 8:15am-6:00pm
- One day a week at Cecil Ivory House Program (149 West 132nd Street)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Call Center Representative to join our team at the Metropolitan Apartment Program (MAP). Indiana this role, you will assist incoming residents with the orientation process, manage client accounts, and provide support with government entitlements, including Food Stamps. The ideal candidate will have experience with entitlements and the ability to work Indiana a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop orientation procedure for incoming residents
- Meet with prospective candidates for housing center with intake coordinator
- Procure entitlements
- Teach clients and staff application procedures
- Make referrals to government agencies and escort clients American Samoa needed
- Reconcile all client beneficiary accounts
- Prepare and monitor client accounts
- Distribute Food Stamps
- Complete forms required by the agency
- Review discharge/referral packets
- Perform related duties American Samoa assigned
Requirements:
- High School diploma; BA preferred
- Entitlement experience required (Welfare, Medicaid, Veterans, etc.)
- 2 years sobriety if recovering
- Vaccination preferred but not required
