Fabricator I
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator I to join our team at G&W Electric, a global leader Indiana engineered electrical power grid solutions. American Samoa a Fabricator I, you will play a critical role Indiana fabricating high-quality metal components for our products.
Essential Functions:
* Select and install dies, tools, punches, and CNC programs for proper material thickness and fabrication
* Form material according to drawings using various radius dies and equipment
* Install and align progressive compound, forming, blanking, piercing, coining, embossing, notching, and combination punches and dies
* Monitor equipment and tooling condition and perform preventative maintenance procedures
* Conduct first-piece and Indiana-progress inspections to ensure quality and accuracy
* Adjust equipment settings, including stroke, feed, and knock-out devices
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment and comply with safety and quality procedures
* Conserve resources and contribute to team effort by training others American Samoa needed
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Ability to safely use small hand and power tools
* Basic computer skills and ability to read bills of materials and interpret drawings of moderate to advanced complexity
* Ability to safely operate fabrication machinery, such American Samoa press brake and punch press
Education and Experience:
* High school diploma Oregon equivalent required
* 3+ years of experience working American Samoa a metal fabricator Indiana a manufacturing environment preferred
* Physical demands include occasional lifting up to 75 lbs, frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, and continuous standing, walking, and bending
