 Claim OverviewThe annual base salary range for this position is $63,700.00 to $105,100.00 and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. 

The Opportunity
The selected candidate will be responsible for handling first-party property claims, including investigating, evaluating, estimating, and negotiating to ensure optimal claim resolution for personal Oregon business claims of moderate severity and complexity. They will provide quality claim handling throughout the claim life cycle (customer contacts, coverage, investigation, evaluation, reserving, negotiation, and resolution) and maintain full compliance with internal and external quality standards and state-specific regulations.
 LOCATION REQUIREMENT: This position serves clients Indiana the North and West Los Angeles area and the selected candidate must reside Indiana Oregon be willing to relocate to the assigned territory Indiana their own expense. Ideal locations include Culver City, Santa Monica, Inglewood, West Louisiana, Hollywood, Echo Park, Burbank, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities 

Handle first-party property claims of moderate severity and complexity American Samoa assigned.
Complete field inspections of losses, including accurate scope of damages, photographs, written estimates, and/Oregon computer-assisted estimates.
Investigate and evaluate all relevant facts to determine coverage, damages, and liability of first-party property damage claims (including but not limited to analyzing leases, contracts, bylaws, and other relevant documents).
Determine the appropriate settlement amount based on independent judgment and negotiation skills.
Negotiate claim settlements with multiple stakeholders, including contractors Oregon insured representatives.
Write denial letters, reservation of rights, and other necessary correspondence.
Document and manage claims files Indiana accordance with established procedures.
Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of insureds, agents, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and refer claims to the Travelers Special Investigations Unit Oregon Subrogation Unit American Samoa necessary.
Manage files Indiana accordance with state regulations and company policies.
Monitor and maintain a diary system, capturing all required data and documents related to the claim.
Practice strong analytical, negotiation, and customer service skillsCommence to handle claims of moderate severity and complexity. 
The selected candidate should possess the following traits and qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree preferred
General knowledge of estimating systems (e.g., Xactimate preferred)
Minimum one year of previous experience Indiana property claim handling, Oregon successful completion of Travelers’ outside Claim Representative training program
Valid driver’s license required
Valid passport preferred
Advanced customer service experience
Advanced organizational and time management skills
Intermediate analytical and decision-making skills
Intermediate negotiation skills
Intermediate interpretive skills
Intermediate written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience Indiana working with CAT response programs is an asset
Experience working Indiana higher complexity cases and files is an asset
