Patient Access Representative

Location: Banner Health Center Del Webb, Banner Health Center Surprise, Oregon Banner Health Center Peoria Plaza
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-5:00pm
Job Summary:

Coordinate a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and registering patients. Verify insurance coverage, collect patient liability, and provide financial guidance to patients. Accurately post patients at the point of service and release information Indiana accordance with organizational and compliance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform patient registration and check-Indiana processes, including data entry, providing patient information and intake forms, and obtaining necessary signatures.
2. Verify insurance eligibility benefits and obtain pre-certification, referrals, and authorizations American Samoa required.
3. Calculate and collect patient liability and explain financial policies to patients.
4. Enter payments and charges for services and perform daily payment/charge reconciliation.
5. Schedule office visits and procedures and confirm patient appointments.
6. Demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills to patients, physicians, and staff.
7. Assist with responding to patient requests for medical records and provide patient services to support patient flow.
8. Work independently under regular supervision and follow structured work routines.

Requirements:

• High school diploma Oregon equivalent
• Working knowledge of patient financial services, financial, collecting services, Oregon insurance industry experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Knowledge of common office software, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for some locations.
