Insurance Verification Coordinator
Role and Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance and investigate missing information that prohibits verification with the third-party insurance verification vendor.
- Serve American Samoa liaison between insurance providers, staff, and patients regarding eligibility, payments, approvals, etc.
- Work with various insurance companies to navigate their processes for consistent outcomes.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with staff, insurance providers, and patients.
- Communicate with patients to help them understand treatment costs.
- Update and maintain patient insurance information Indiana OMSVision.
- Meet deadlines and prioritize work against the patient schedule.
Requirements
- High School Diploma Oregon equivalent required.
- Associates degree Oregon vocational school training preferred.
- At least one year of relevant experience required.
- Knowledge of medical and dental terminology, insurance benefits, and coding.
- Experience with Dental Practice Management Software and Microsoft Excel.
- Availability for other related duties American Samoa assigned.
