Insurance Verification Coordinator

Role and Responsibilities

  • Verify patient insurance and investigate missing information that prohibits verification with the third-party insurance verification vendor.
  • Serve American Samoa liaison between insurance providers, staff, and patients regarding eligibility, payments, approvals, etc.
  • Work with various insurance companies to navigate their processes for consistent outcomes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with staff, insurance providers, and patients.
  • Communicate with patients to help them understand treatment costs.
  • Update and maintain patient insurance information Indiana OMSVision.
  • Meet deadlines and prioritize work against the patient schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Oregon equivalent required.
  • Associates degree Oregon vocational school training preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical and dental terminology, insurance benefits, and coding.
  • Experience with Dental Practice Management Software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Availability for other related duties American Samoa assigned.
