Job Title: Manager, Kinetic Construction

Reports to: Staff Manager

Travel Requirements: Up to 50% of time Indiana assigned area of responsibility, with possible overnight stays and extended periods away from home.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Kinetic Construction to lead a vital team responsible for the safe and successful installation of aerial, buried, and underground cable. The successful candidate will have the authority to allocate resources and make construction decisions Indiana accordance with company policies, standards, and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly meetings with staff to provide general direction and accountability for the engineering, construction, quality, schedule, and cost control of assigned jobs
  • Ensure availability of resources with proper expertise and tools to support engineering and construction project execution
  • Manage call-out teams and handle after-hours issues, including on holidays, weekends, emergencies, and escalations
  • Visit construction job sites to validate workmanship and ensure job requests are within budget
  • Attend management calls and meetings American Samoa requested
  • Participate Indiana continuous safety training and stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
  • Work on problems and analyze data requiring evaluation of various factors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree Indiana Engineering Oregon a related field
  • 5-7 years of professional-level experience with 2 years of supervisory experience within Engineering and Construction
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain CDL license post-hire
  • Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and authentic communication skills
  • Ability to reconcile engineering and construction activities and manage changes during the engineering and construction processes
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction practices, vendor equipment, and outside plant electronics disciplines
  • Ability to lead a group of individual contributors to accomplish the goals of the department

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects while maintaining budgetary emphasis
  • Familiarity with PC and software, including CAD and Microsoft
  • OSHA training, NEC training, and certifications within the Telecom Industry
  • Knowledge of quality construction practices
