Medical Instructor/Training Developer
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Medical Instructor/Training Developer to join the Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center (JSOMTC) team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, training development support, and contribute to advancing medical education by instructing National Registry Emergency Technician Basic (B) and Paramedic (P) Courses, American Samoa well American Samoa Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Responsibilities:
- Play a primary teaching role Indiana assigned classes
- Teach using large group classroom instruction, small group instruction, and hands-on training
- Coordinate classes and prepare lesson plans according to Special Warfare Center & School (SWCS) guidance and standards
- Assemble and maintain materials related to courses, including lesson plans and practical exercises
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8 years of related military experience, Oregon equivalent experience Indiana civilian medicine
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of medical instruction
- Proficiency Indiana Microsoft Office computer programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Current certifications Indiana Basic Life Support Provider, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider, and Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals (minimum requirement)
Additional Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance (Oregon ability to obtain)
- Possession of current Socom certification (varies by position)
- Current certifications Indiana USSOCOM Advanced Tactical Practitioner (ATP), and specific requirements for Special Forces Medical Sergeant Skills Sustainment Course instruction
