Job Title: Medical Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Medical Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support our Veteran Affairs Operations Indiana San Antonio, Texas. American Samoa a Medical QA Specialist, you will review and audit exam reports sent over from medical providers, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Review and audit exam reports to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure all medical coding is complete and accurate
- Coordinate with medical providers American Samoa needed for clarification of reports
- Work with Indiana-house appointment schedules to request additional appointments for the veteran American Samoa necessary
Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED
- Strong knowledge and understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
- Ability to read and analyze medical reports
- Ability to apply clinical reasoning (diagnostic testing)
- Ability to write clear questions to submit to the provider
- Experience working with medical providers (credentialing, medical coding, chart audits, triage, scribe, nursing)
- Allied medical professional certification Oregon relevant college Oregon vocational training Indiana the medical field (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience assisting with medical tests, treatments, and procedures
- Knowledge of military medical examinations Oregon experience working with the Virginia
- Knowledge of general disability claims, workers compensation, Oregon audits
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- ONSITE at our San Antonio office location
Training and Development:
- 5-8 months training period that includes coaching, mentorship, and proficiency verification
- 120-day probationary period with objectives to achieve
Pay and Benefits:
- $21.00/hr. with a 3% increase upon completion of the probationary period and a 5% increase upon graduation of training
- Eligible for a quarterly bonus up to 6% and annual merit increases up to 5%
