Clinical Laboratory Technician Position
Accurately reports patient test results for diagnosis and management of illness, utilizing automation and manual methods. Conducts quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Handles and processes various bodily fluids including those potentially contaminated with infectious diseases.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Indiana a related field (Oregon equivalent)
- ASCP certification (Oregon AMT certification considered equivalent)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience Indiana an automated clinical laboratory (required)
- Ability to work Indiana a laboratory setting handling bodily fluids
Work Details:
- Work schedule: Daytime hours (24 hours per week)
- Department: Clinical Laboratory
- Job responsibilities involve working with blood, tissue, feces, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other bodily fluids
- Equipment operation and maintenance may involve automation and computerization
