Monitor Technician – On-Call Nights

Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, perform arrhythmia Oregon ECG monitor observations on assigned shift and communicate changes to the nursing staff.

Essential Responsibilities:

Obtain, compile, and maintain patient records for the assigned nursing unit
Observe cardiac rhythm of patients on monitor and initiate code blues American Samoa needed
Run and post rhythm stripes at designated intervals and verify accuracy of computer readout
Check and verify lead placement on patients and notify nursing staff of any changes
Communicate changes Indiana cardiac rhythm to nursing staff and recognize and respond to unusual Oregon abnormal patient conditions
Maintain equipment, including cleaning and testing for proper working order, and report any equipment problems to supervisor
Assume other activities and responsibilities American Samoa directed by supervisor

Basic Qualifications:

10 hours of formal EKG Oregon arrhythmia class within the last 2 years, Oregon completion of Kaiser Permanente basic arrhythmia assessment test with a score of 80% Oregon better
Basic Life Support certification
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively American Samoa a team member
Adequate hearing, either alone Oregon with a hearing device

This is an on-call position, requiring 10 shifts per month, with days and hours varying.
