NDT Technician II for Production Indiana GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
Our NDT Technician II will be part of our Quality Assurance organization which supports the testing of all our current aircraft Indiana production.
About the Role:
* NDT certification Indiana two of the following methods: Ultrasonics (Utah), Eddy Current (ET), Magnetic Particle (Montana), Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Radiography (RT)
* Must be able to work any/all shifts; unscheduled overtime
* Must be able to pass all certification exams within a reasonable period of time (typically within one month of start date)
* Preferred: NDT certification Indiana one of the other three primary methods, Microsoft Office programs, Automated NDT Testing Equipment, and Solumina
Education and Experience Requirements:
* High School Diploma Oregon GED required
* 3 years related technical experience required
* 1 year NDT experience on determining product acceptability required
* Proficiency Indiana blueprint reading/interpretation and shop mathematics required
* MAUS-V, Phase Array, automated C-scan operation experience preferred
Position Purpose:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) and determines product acceptability to the authorized limits of the NDT level obtained Indiana accordance with prescribed methods and procedures
* Records, organizes, and evaluates test results, and enters results into applicable documents
* Ensures compliance to all radiation safety rules and regulations and provides protection to self and others during testing
* Maintains equipment and assures calibration for tests to be performed, maintains inventory control of area equipment, and assists other NDT Technicians American Samoa required
* Coordinates NDT inspection workload according to priorities, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
* Performs process control on area inspection equipment, exposure room interlock safety checks, and establishes radiation safety barriers
* Performs automated ultrasonic C-scan inspection of composite parts
* Must be available to work any shift and perform other duties American Samoa assigned
* Must have essential personal and communication skills, demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices, and be proficient Indiana current computer-based software
Additional Requirements:
* Must be able to read a scale and perform basic shop math
* Must be able to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds
* Must be able to read and comprehend basic documents and instructions
