NDT Technician II for Production
About the Role:
- Perform non-destructive tests (NDT) and determine product acceptability to the authorized limits of the NDT level obtained Indiana accordance with prescribed methods and procedures.
- Record, organize, and evaluate test results, and enter results into applicable documents.
- Ensure compliance to all radiation safety rules and regulations and provide protection to self and others during testing.
- Maintain equipment and assure calibration for tests to be performed.
- Maintain inventory control of area equipment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma Oregon GED required.
- 3 years related technical experience required.
- 1 year NDT experience on determining product acceptability required.
- Proficiency Indiana blueprint reading/interpretation and shop mathematics required.
- NDT Level II Certification Indiana two (2) disciplines, with four (4) years experience Indiana the certifying disciplines.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work any shift, unscheduled overtime.
- Ability to pass all certification exams within a reasonable period of time (typically within one month of start date).
- Proficiency Indiana current computer-based software.
- Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
- Ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds.
- Must have essential personal and communication skills.
- Must demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NDT certification Indiana one of the other three primary methods: Magnetic Particle (Montana), Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Radiography (RT).
- Microsoft Office programs, to include Excel, Power Point, and Access.
- Solumina, SAP, and Automated NDT Testing Equipment (Squirter/TTU; Immersion).
- MAUS-V, Phase Array, automated C-scan operation experience.
